Wildlife Club

About us

The Wildlife Club is a new club that was introduced to our school in 2018 and has been very active since then. The main purpose of the club is to educate students on species of animals in Kenya and by so doing enable the students to effectively care for them. The members of the club are all individuals who are passionate about animals and value their existence on our earth.

Upcoming events

The club has been growing bigger by the day as it is raising awareness on issues concerning wildlife and the environment as well. All this has been made possible especially thanks to the club patron Miss Maleche. We hope to have another successful year this coming academic year of 2019/2020.

Recent School Events

The club has organized numerous trips within and without Nairobi such as bird watching at Lake Magadi, as well as a trip to the National Museum where we got to see how animals are preserved to be displayed in the museum. We also visited the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and the Kenya Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (KSPCA) where we had the opportunity to see orphaned elephants and dogs, cats, horses at KSPCA.

During our trip to the DAVID Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, the club members were able to raise funds and adopt a baby elephant named Mukkoka whose needs can be met thanks to this contribution. We also organised a Flora and Fauna Day in school where we had an informative briefing concerning snake species in Kenya and got to witness a few of this species.
